“ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ” ಎನ್ನುವ ಶಬ್ದವೇ ಕೇಳಲು ಸುಸಂಸ್ಕೃತವಾಗಿದೆ.. ಯಾರೋ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುಣ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀನಿ ಎಂದರೆ ಸಾಕು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ದೈವತ್ವವಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬುವ ಜನರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯಾಗಲಿ, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಗಲೀ, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ರೌಡಿಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ, ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೊಂದು ಗೌರವ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ವಿನಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಬಂದ ಕೆಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಇಂದು ಕಳ್ಳರಂತೆ ದರೋಡೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಚಪಲ ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಹಗಲು ದರೋಡೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನನ್ನೋಣ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ?? ಹೌದು ಅಸಲಿಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ವಿಷಯ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದದ್ದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಚಾಮರಾಜಪೇಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ಸಧ್ಯ ಪ್ರಭಾರಿ ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇಡೀ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಭಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ವರಖೇಡಿಯನ್ನೇ ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಸರತ್ತುಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ನಾವೇ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ.
ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಅತಿಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ. ಅಸಲಿಗೆ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಅದು ಹೇಗೋ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಮುಗಿಸಿ 2000-2002ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಂತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ 2002ರಿಂದ 2006ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲೂ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೇಕೋ ಎರಡರಲ್ಲೂ ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂತಸ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಏನೋ.. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಒಸ್ಮಾನಿಯಾ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಮನೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಅಕಾಡಮಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡರು. ಇಲ್ಲೂ ವರಖೇಡಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೇ ಬಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಆದರೆ ವರಖೇಡಿಯವರು ತಾವು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ(ಸಂ.ವಿ) ಸಹಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ “ನನಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನಿತರ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕನಾಗಿ ಪಾಠ ಮಾಡಿ ಅನುಭವವಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಸಲಿಗೆ, ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಈ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಕ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಪದವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಸ್ಟಿಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಸಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ/ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ 10 ವರ್ಷದ ಬೋಧನಾನುಭವವಿರಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ವರಖೇಡಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ದಾಖಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತ ಎಲ್ಲೂ 10 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದಲೋ ಅಥವಾ ಖಾಸಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕನಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳಿಲ್ಲ.. ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಶನ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ಪಾಠ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅನುಭವವಿದೆಯೆಂದು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ Professor for Probationary Period ಎಂದೇ ಮುದ್ರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರೊಬೇಷನರಿ ಪೀರಿಯಡ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿದ್ದವರ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಗಣನೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೂ ವರಖೇಡಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತೂರಿ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಇನ್ನು ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಮೂರೂ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆಳಿಗೆ ಎಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ, ಸಹ-ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತ ಒಂದೊಂದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ತಲಾ ಒಂದು ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಡಿಡಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಚಂಡರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಚಂಡರಾದ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮೂರೂ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಒಂದೇ ಅರ್ಜಿ, 1 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಡಿಡಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವರ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಅಸಲಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿವಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರೂ ಆಗಿ ಈಗ ಕುಲಪತಿಯ ಸೀಟಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಚಹಾ ಹೀರುವ ಕನಸು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಇವರ ಚಹಾ ಹೀರುವ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಸು ಮಾಡಲು ಅನೇಕ ಮಾಜಿ ಕುಲಪತಿಳು ಶತಾಯ ಗತಾಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಮಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿದಿರಬಹುದು, ಭಗವಾನ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದ. “ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ.. ನಾನಿರದ ಸ್ಥಳವಿಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು.. ಇನ್ನು ಮಹಾಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೇ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಇತ್ತ ತನ್ನ ಪುಟ್ಟ ತಂಗಿಯ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಡೆ ದ್ರೌಪದಿಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಾಪಹರಣ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲೂ ಇದ್ದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆಂಬ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೂ ಕಾಣ ಬಲ್ಲಂತಹ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು. ಅದೇ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆಯಾ ಎಂಬ ಅನುಮಾನ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೂ ಇದೆ. ಪ್ರಾದ್ಯಾಪಕ, ಸಹಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ 15-03-2013ರ ಪ್ರಶಾಸನ ಸಮಿತಿ 12ನೇ ನಡಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇನ್ನು ಇದೇ ನಡಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕಾರರಾಗಿ ಯಾರು ಬರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ವರಖೇಡಿ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ರೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರು,, ಅದೂ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಭಾಷಾ ನಿಕಾಯಗಳ ಡೀನ್ ಆಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ನಂತರ ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯೇ ಬಂದು ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕಾರರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾಮ್ ಕೇ ವಾಸ್ತೆಗಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ವರಖೇಡಿ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ರು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿವಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಕಥೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ನಡೆಯ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳೂ ಇದೆ, ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕಾರರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಯೇನಾದರೂ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಂದದ್ದೇ ಆದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಹ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕಾರರು ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿ ಡಾ|| ಪ್ರಹಲ್ಲಾದ್ ಆಚಾರ್.. !! ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಯಲವೇ ಮುರಿದು ಇನ್ನಿತರರಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. In fact, ಕಳ್ಳರಿಗೆ ದಾರಿದೀಪವಾಗಿದೆ!!

ಇನ್ನು ಈ ಮಾಜಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಮಲ್ಲೇಪುರಂ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶರದ್ದು ಭಯಂಕರ ಇತಿಹಾಸವೇ ಇದೆ. ನಾವು ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇವಲ ನೇಮಕಾತಿಯ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಆದರೆ ಮಲ್ಲೇಪುರಂ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳೇ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಪರಿಶೋಧಕರ ನೀಡಿರುವ ವರದಿ(Auditor’s Report). ಕೇವಲ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಪರಿಶೋಧಕರ ವರದಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದಾಖಲೆಯನ್ನೇ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ನೋಡುವುದಾದರೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ!! ಒಂದು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಒಂದು ಪೈಸವನ್ನು ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದ್ದರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಹಣ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಯಿತೆಂಬುದೇ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವಂತೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಪರಿಶೋಧಕರ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಗದೇ ಹಾಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಣವೆಷ್ಟೋ ಯಾವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು? ಇವರ ಈ ಬೇಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿತನಕ್ಕೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಪರಿಶೋಧಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾಗೇ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮಂಗಳಾರತಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆದರೂ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಕ್ಯಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳು ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೇ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ 2012ರ ಜುಲೈ 16ರಂದು ಉಪ ಕುಲಸಚೀವರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಅಧಸೂಚನೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗೆ ಗರಿಷ್ಟ 35 ವರ್ಷವಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಆರ್ ಪಾಗೋಜಿಯವರ ವಯಸ್ಸು ಅದಾಗಲೇ 44ರ ಗಡಿ ದಾಟಿತ್ತು. ಇನ್ನು ಈ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು 35 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಗೋಜಿ ಅವರನ್ನೇ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೇ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಆದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಸ್ ಇರಬಾರದು.. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಗೋಜಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್ ಕೇಸ್ ಬೇರೆ ಇದೆ.. 2010ರ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 11ರಂದು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಉಪನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್ ಮೊಕದ್ದಮೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಫ್.ಐ.ಆರ್. ನಂ-380 ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಸಿ769/10 ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ದೋಷಾರೋಪ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಇವರ ಹಣೆ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೇ ಗುರುಕುಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನಿಂಗಪ್ಪರವರು ಪಾಗೋಜಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ 2012ರ ಜನವರಿ 10ರಂದು ದಾರವಾಡ ಉಪನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಪಾಗೋಜಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ ಏಳು ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಾ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಅಮಾನತಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಗೋಜಿಗಿದೆ. ಇಷ್ಟಾದರ ಸಹ ಇವರು ಕುಲಸಚೀವರಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೇ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷದ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು. ಇನ್ನು ಹಿಂದನ ಕುಲಸಚೀವರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಿಂದ ಇವರನ್ನು ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಮಾನತು ಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟಿನ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಪಾಗೋಜಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲೂ ಕೋರ್ಟು ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮಂಗಳಾರತಿ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಮಲ್ಲೇಪುರಂ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶರು ಇಂತಹ ಘೋರ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿರುವ ಪಾಗೋಜಿಯವರನ್ನೇ ಏಕೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.. ಮಲ್ಲೇಪುರಂ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶರ ಕಾರ್ಯವೈಖರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೇ ಮುಗಿದಿಲ್ಲ.. ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯನ್ನು ಡೀನ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕುಲಪತಿಯಾಗಲು ದಾರಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಇನ್ನು ವೆಂಕಟೇಶರು ರಿಟೈರ್ ಮೆಂಟ್ ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಮಲ್ಲೇಪುರಂ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನವನ್ನೂ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿವಿಯಿಂದ ಹಣವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದರೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನೇ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟು ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ. ಈಗ ಸಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಭರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ವರಖೇಡಿಯನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ನದೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆಯೆಂದು ಕೆಲ ಮೂಲಗಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹಲವಾರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೂ ಇದೇ ಗತಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಕಡೆಗೊಂದು ದಿನ ಜನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತವನ್ನೂ ನಂಬದಂತಹ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಎದುರಾಗಬಹುದು. ಇನ್ನಾದರೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿವಿಯ ಈ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಆದಷ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ಗಮನ ಹರಿಸಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತವೊಂದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿ ಎಂಬುದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯ.
